Vision

The InspirAcción Foundation is a non-profit social incubator based in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. We support community-led projects aimed at improving the quality, coverage and effectiveness of education. Latin America is the most unequal region in the world: in 2014, 10% of its population concentrated more than 75% of the region’s total wealth. This has a destructive impact on economic growth and social cohesion, which translates into low quality of life for millions of people. We are convinced that education and empowerment are the best tools to fight these inequalities. By providing inspired citizens with the resources and tools to fulfill their projects, we aspire to promote sustainable and inclusive patterns of growth that put communities first. We believe that every citizen can change the world if we turn inspiration into action. Latin America has achieved significant progress in expanding the level of access to basic education. However, it still faces high dropout rates, low student achievement and strong educational inequalities. Our vision for Latin America is that of a region where every person has access to free, equitable and good-quality education. The InspirAcción Foundation empowers inspired communities to be the drivers of this change.
